How To Be Fashionable In An Airport

Posted by Holly Williford on 8th Feb 2015

Airports for most people are stressful places. Between security, tight quarters, crowds and the frantic feel, it can hard to feel your regular self. If fashion and appearances are important to you either out of necessity or passion, it is possible to carry off a well put together look in the airport, it just takes a little extra forethought.

If you are ready to treat the airport runway like a fashion runway, then you’ve come to the right place. Here are five ways that you can be fashionable in airport.

1. Luggage And Tags

Luggage may only be with your for part of the experience, but it is an important accessory. Check out our options for luggage and carry-ons and our luggage tags for high quality leather bags that’ll make you look great, but they will also last you a lifetime worth of travel with our 100 year guarantee.

2.Set Out Outfit The Night Before

Especially if you have an early flight, chances are you are not going to have enough time to plan out an outfit. Rather than rushing and schlepping something together, plan it out beforehand. Make sure that it is fashionable, but also practical and comfortable for the amount of time you’ll be spending in transit.

3.No Excess

You know what is not fashionable? Having to take off a bunch of jewelry and/or other accessories in the T.S.A. line. We all have to jump through the hoops in the name of security. The best we can do for now is just jump through the hoop as efficiently as possible, so that we don’t back things up and potentially miss our flight.

4.Hygiene

Airplanes and airports just make one feel gross. Excess germs, sweat, being crammed in like sardines. Bring face wipes to wipe off your face and other areas that may get grimy. Wash your hands frequently. Keep your hair up and out of the way (if applicable), so it doesn’t end up a mess. Plus have a toothbrush, hairbrush and any other grooming tools that’ll come in handy in keeping you look well kept.

5.Allow Plenty Of Time

In most cases being fashionably late is a good thing, but the airport is one of the few exceptions to this rule. Giving yourself plenty of time ensures that you don’t end up in a frenzy that not only affects your physical aesthetic by mussing your hair, clothes and everything else, but it also ruins your state of mind giving you a look of desperation. Being frantic is never in style.
