Putting together an outfit where everything seems to match relatively well can be a huge challenge to some of us out there. The following are just a couple rules of thumb that can help you decide whether a black belt or a brown belt is more appropriate for an outfit.

1.The Shoes

Want to know how to match any belt to an outfit? Look down at your shoes. Whatever the color of your shoes are, is the color belt that you should wear. This of course only really works if you are wearing brown or black shoes. If you are not wearing black or brown shoes, then try to choose the color of belt that most closely matches the hue of those shoes. As long as you get the colors relatively close, you can’t really go wrong with this method.

2.The Hue Of The Outfit

If you want to get extra fancy with your matching skills, you can try to match the hue of the outfit and the shoes. This can be a tricky thing to achieve that really requires an eye for color. Basically anything with gray, black or white tones will call for a black belt. Anything with more earthy tones, you’ll want to go with the brown belt.

3.Something You Don’t Have To Worry About
